We will be holding a juried competition to select an artist to craft a lifelike sculpture of Ellen Browning Scripps.
Devoid of abstract interpretations, it will bring her character to life, and will be placed in a prominent, easily accessible location in La Jolla. We will be circulating a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) followed by a Request for Proposals. Each finalist will be provided with a $2000 stipend to create a maquette.

Overall budget is $200-250,000. Sculptor will be awarded $100,000 which will include foundry cost.
